Free Group Hike

Sun, Mar 24, 2019 10:00 AM

This is an adults only (19+) event!

This hike is located just West of Armstrong. The south eastern lookout provides amazing views of the farm land below with Otter lake, Swan Lake, and Okanagan Lake in the distance. Farther along the trail at the peak of Mount Swanson, you realize the true height of the mountains as you look down the valleys towards Enderby and Salmon Arm.

  • Take your snowshoes and be prepared to be frustrated by sticky wet snow! Did this one last year in spring (later than this I think) -- we thought it would be clear and we were sinking thigh deep. I"m not expert, and don't mean to sound like a downer ... just know what we encountered last year (Steve Ewbank might remember our hike date.) I think there was more snow in general last year though too.
