Trail Description

Hardy Falls is named after Harry Hardy, one of the Westside's first orchadists. The short but scenic trail takes you along Peachland's Deep Creek, crosses eight bridges and leads you to a small waterfall.

Hardy Falls is a very simple trail, and provides informational plaques depicting the nature of the area. The cool shaded forest area contains Cottonwood trees and Salmonberry bushes, bears may also be active in the area due to the salmon in the creek.

The area has been known to suffer from rockslides. In 2009 the falls suffered heavy damage and was closed for rock removal, the main access bridge was also destroyed in the same year due to a tree fell but has since been repaired.

The trail was maintained well and in 2012 removed and replaced seven of its bridges to improve public safety. In 2017, the park was heavily damaged due to flooding and remained closed through 2018 with plans to restore it in the works.
