Enderby Cliffs

Enderby

1 hr 15 min from Downtown Kelowna
303 Brash Allen Rd, Enderby, BC V0E 1V4

The Enderby Cliffs tower high above the city offering breathtaking views of the Shuswap and the North Okanagan. Hikers atop the cliffs can watch the soaring birds play on the updrafts created by the steep rock face and take a step back in time to the Tertiary age when the cliffs were formed.

The trail follows the edge of a farmer's field and then begins to climb though deciduous shrubs and some trees. About 1km along, the trail intersects a skidder road. Here, visitors will find a bench and a large crucifix monument carved by the villagers of Oberammergau, Germany. Hikers are invited to leave flowers. The trail traverses across the slope, switching back and forth offering great views. The trail then climbs very steeply towards the cliffs. After the steep climb, the lower section of the cliffs is reached. The trail winds along through a meadow of alpine flowers to the top of the cliffs. This section of the trail offers many excellent views. In some spots, you can feel the updraft of the wind.

The trail ends at the highest point on the cliffs; however, most hikers will want to stop at around the 5.6 km point (1174 meters) as there are absolutely no views past this point or at the summit (7.3km/1258 meters). See our GPS map for "View #4" which is an excellent stopping point.

GPS Notes
We have often color-coded our GPX tracks. While it is not always the case, we have tried to use the following convention on our newer maps:

Green/Blue: human-verified by our volunteers.
Purple: overgrown trail, bushwhack, or on private property.
Red: default color or not reality-checked
Yellow: Road
Other Colors: May have been satellite traced or imported from third party sources.

While we strongly believe our GPS are accurate, please be aware that no logging system is perfect and to be aware of potential errors. Use at your own risk.
