This loop around Mt. Dufferin takes hikers west towards the corrections center. Then a sharp turn right onto the Ridge trail, the ascent begins all the way to the cell tower for a phenomenal view of Kamloops over sunset. An easier, and wider, descent follows Tower Trail back to the parking lot.
1. From downtown Kamloops follow Columbia St into Sahali and merge onto Highway 5 heading west.
2. Take the Copperhead Dr exit (366) to the right.
3. Immediately turn left on Hillside Dr.
4. In about 400 meters, park in the parking lot on the right.
Use our written directions in preference to the Google directions below as they are likely more accurate.
We have often color-coded our GPX tracks. While it is not always the case, we have tried to use the following convention on our newer maps:
Green/Blue: human-verified by our volunteers. Purple: overgrown trail, bushwhack, or on private property. Red: default color or not reality-checked Yellow: Road Other Colors: May have been satellite traced or imported from third party sources.
While we strongly believe our GPS are accurate, please be aware that no logging system is perfect and to be aware of potential errors. Use at your own risk.
