Located in the heart of Glenmore, the Brandts Creek hike is perfect for a simple stroll. The asphalt trail takes you on a scenic route, travelling through local parks and six neighbourhoods and is a recommended hike for those looking to take the family on an easy and enjoyable walk due to its lack of elevation and hiking difficulty.
The trail begins at Yates and Vallery Roads, and stretches 5km in distance. Along the way several sculptures are viewable, they are part of a public art project called "Growth."
Brandt's Creek is part of the city's Linear Park Master Plan which includes revamping parks by upgrading trails and making them more hike-friendly. Recently a pedestrian crossing was created to link sections of the park, providing a safe route across Glenmore Road.
Pets are allowed providing they are kept on a leash and remain on the designated pathways.
