Founder Pledges Financial Support to Combat Homelessness in Kelowna

Kelowna, British Columbia – March 18, 2023 – Hike The Okanagan, a popular outdoor organization in Kelowna, British Columbia, is proud to announce an exciting new initiative to help address the growing homelessness crisis in the local community. Beginning this season, Hike The Okanagan's founder, Josh Hill, will personally donate two dollars for every participant who attends the free public hikes organized by the company.

Hike The Okanagan, which operates from March through November each year, has gained a loyal following in the region by hosting free, guided hikes for people of all ages and fitness levels. This latest initiative combines the company's passion for promoting a healthy lifestyle with a philanthropic effort to help those less fortunate.

"Physical fitness and mental wellbeing go hand in hand," said Josh Hill, founder of Hike The Okanagan. "By participating in our hikes, attendees will not only be supporting their own health and wellness but also making a difference in the lives of our fellow community members who need our help the most."

The funds raised through this initiative will be donated to local organizations working tirelessly to tackle homelessness in Kelowna. The campaign aims to foster a sense of community spirit and encourage more people to get involved in addressing the issue.

Hike The Okanagan's weekly hikes are open to all residents and visitors of Kelowna. The group offers hikes for various skill levels and interests, from gentle nature walks to challenging mountain ascents. Participants can sign up for hikes through the Hike The Okanagan website or social media channels.
